Dr. Rehan M. Hussain is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon specializing in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous.
Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Dr. Hussain has built his career around advanced retinal care, academic leadership, and research-driven treatment for complex eye conditions.

Dr. Hussain graduated as Valedictorian from Homewood-Flossmoor High School before entering the accelerated 7-year BA/MD program at The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
During his undergraduate studies, he participated in the University Honors Program and was selected into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. In medical school, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, an honor awarded to the top 10% of the graduating class.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine, where he was selected by his peers to serve as Chief Resident and received the Merrill Grayson Leadership Award.
Dr. Hussain then completed two fellowships in ophthalmic pathology and vitreoretinal surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, consistently recognized as one of the nation’s leading eye hospitals.

Dr. Hussain is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds leadership roles within major retina organizations, including:
